IDENTITY METHOD
How part numbers are verified
The catalog preserves the full recorded MPN and treats uncertain relationships as review questions, not as permission to rewrite a product identity.
Primary evidence
Part numbers are taken from explicit model identifiers in source listing titles and descriptions. Published product images can help read suffixes and nameplates or identify conflicts with the recorded text.
Exact MPN first
A series name does not replace a complete manufacturer part number. Stored canonical URLs remain stable when formatting or supporting metadata is reviewed.
Uncertain relationships
A slash, parenthesis, order code, revision, or parent-company name is not automatically treated as a duplicate. Possible compound identifiers and brand aliases are reported for human review before any permanent redirect or entity merge.
